Things have been crazy around here lately. Have you noticed? First, Gayle posted two Issue 14s of Killer Cakes. This after a long hiatus on both Daphne’s newsletter and mine. I’m forgiving her, though, because she has been working on deadlines like a crazy person! Both Killer Sweet Tooth and Thread Reckoning are due this fall.
Please check out Gayle’s FreshFiction contest where you can enter to win a copy of The Quick and The Thread (signed by Gayle’s alter ego Amanda Lee) and a $10 Visa gift card emblazoned with the TQTT cover.
These photos are from an event Gayle did at the Bristol Virginia Public Library. It was such fun!
And, do you recall in Issue 14 there was a link to a tutorial for embroidered flowers done on felt and tinted with crayon? Gayle tried her hand at that, and this is the result. She placed the finished product in a card frame but hasn’t sent it to anyone yet. It didn’t turn out as well as she’d hoped, but I think it’s pretty good for a first try.
